Pak intelligence agencies warn of attack on minority religious places

Lahore, July 21 (ANI): Pakistan intelligence agencies have warned that extremists may target minority worship places in Lahore, Jhang, and all across the Punjab province.

According to a threat alert issued by intelligence agencies, an unknown terror group ‘Munsa’ is planning to target important government installations and buildings belonging to agencies like the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).

"Terrorists are planning to carry out suicide attacks on offices of the ISI, government buildings, army checkposts and other buildings," The Daily Times quoted the alert, as saying.

Following receiving the warning, the Punjab Home Department has directed all concerned authorities to beef up security in and around all sacred places across the province.

Law enforcement agencies have been asked to upgrade the security of all important and sensitive buildings immediately.

All security agencies have been directed to coordinate with each other to share information regarding terrorist activities and make efforts to nab the militants before they succeed in executing their dangerous plans.
